Curriculum vitae
Christina Mrázková was born in Halle an der Saale. She studied singing, guitar and piano playing there at the Conservatoire of G.F. Händel, then she studied solo singing at the Mendelssohn – Bartholdy Music College in Leipzig, she was taught by the chamber singer prof. Elisabet Breul. She also took part in the international singers’ seminars in Weimar by Prof. P.G.Lisizian. As a student she already appeared as a guest at the Leipzig Opera Theater. She accepted her first engagement at the Municipal Theater Cottbus. After marriage and moving to the Czech Republic she had engagements at guest performances at the State Theater in Usti nad Labem, Prague Chamber Opera, State Opera in Prague, Karlin Music Theater Prague, National Theater in Brno, etc. There she performed the most important roles there: Violetta - Verdi La traviata, Liu - Puccini Turandot, Susanna - Mozart Figaros Hochzeit and Pamina in The Magic Flute, Marzelina - Beethoven Fidelio, Terinka - Dvořák Jakobín, Adéla Strauss Fledermaus, Arsena - Zigeunerbaron. She performed main roles in operas and operettas all over the world thanks to the close cooperation with foreign agencies in major theaters in Europe as well overseas, last time in 1998 in Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Natania, etc.). Her concert activity in the sphere of songs and oratorios has been also extensive. She has been often invited to take a part in national and international festivals and she has also made many radio, television and CD recordings with the most popular Czech organist Jaroslav Vodrážka.
Since 1998 she has taught solo singing in the music section of the Gymnázium Jana Nerudy School of the City of Prague, Czech Republic. She is also very often invited to be a jury member of Czech and international competitions (Prague, Jelení hora – Poland, Kaunas – Lithuania ect.). Since 2007 she has been participating in opera master classes Krakonoš ´s music garden in Karpaczi (Poland) and in 2008 she led songs master classes at Academy of Music Hanns Eisler. In 2010 she successfully graduated as “The Doctor of pedagogy” at Prešov University.
